Update

Keeping a paper trail I write almost nothing down. The handful of things I do write down end up in a folder with a date on it, and after a year that folder is the only honest record of what I was thinking. Folders before features I spent an evening building a listing system for this archive before there was anything to list. The listing system now does almost nothing, and the three rules it assumed are the only reason this site has no broken pages. Ship the broken thing A project sat at eighty percent for four months because I was waiting for it to be finished. I published it as-is. Two days later I knew exactly which twenty percent was missing, which is more than I knew before.
